Dress Code and Other General Regulations for 2009-2010
Students represent VCS and are expected to reflect, in grooming and appearance, the school’s
philosophy and values. Student’s clothing must be neat, clean, modest,
and in good repair at all times. All students MUST comply with dress code with NO variations.
Any questions concerning dress code or violations should be referred to the school office. Only students in compliance with the dress code may attend classes.
The following guidelines have been established:
Female Students
· Blue, Black, or Kaki slacks
uniform style only (loose fit)
· Blue, Black, or Kaki shorts,
skirts, and skorts (no shorter than knee length, ex. Walking shorts uniform style).
· Any Color polo style shirts, short and long sleeve; must be loose fit with ONLY three buttons (Must be Uniform
Style) Proper undergarment must be
worn.
· No nose rings, eyebrow rings,
or body piercing may be worn.
· Obvious excess amounts of
make-up will not be allowed.
Male Students
- Blue, Black or Kaki Uniform slacks must be worn at the
waist with a belt (No LOW RIDERS, bleaching, or holes in garments may be worn).
- Blue, Black, or Kaki uniform shorts; must be worn at the
waist with a belt, NO Low Riders.
- Any Color polo style
shirts, short and long sleeves with ONLY three buttons (Must be uniform style).
- No earrings, nose rings, eyebrow rings, or body piercing
may be worn.
- Hair must be neatly combed and cut at all times. Hair should not hang down over the eyebrows. Facial hair must be neatly groomed.
General Regulations
- All uniform style pants, shorts, skorts, and skirts must
be hemmed and worn at the waist with a belt. No low riders or oversized garments
allowed.
- Only sweaters, and jackets that are plain, with college
logo, or school logo are allowed to be worn. VCS School shirts may be worn.
- Students may not wear makeup in excess amounts.
- No outrageous fads,
including body piercing, tattoos, or extreme hairstyles may be worn.
- No hats, head rags, watch caps, caps, or headbands may
be worn in class. Winter hats and coverings are allowed in appropriate weather
conditions for outdoor activities.
- Absolutely NO cell phones, beepers, pagers, MP-3 players, or CD players,
radios, video games, game boys, PS2’s, or head phones (other than for computer) allowed in class. Students will be charged a $25 fee for having these items at unauthorized times.
