Contract
of Enrollment 2009-2010
The parties to this contract are
Vicksburg
Community School, hereinafter referred to as
SCHOOL, and the parents (unless one has sole legal custody) and/or the legal guardian(s) of the student(s) named below, hereafter
referred to as PARENTS.
The parties hereto agree that this
contract shall not be effective until payment by PARENTS of all fees required at the time of Application for admission of
the student(s) named below and the acceptance for admission by the Board of Directors of SCHOOL.
PARENTS declare that all the information
provided in the Application for admission is true and correct to the best of their knowledge and acknowledge that any false
or misleading information gives SCHOOL grounds for terminating this contract. The parties hereto agree that this contract
includes all the information, schedules, and provisions contained in the complete Application for admission, which is incorporated
herein by reference and made a part hereof in its entirety.
In making application for the student,
PARENTS express the desire to have him or her complete the school year at School. PARENTS assume responsibility for all financial
and service obligations of the student to the school as outlined on the Schedule of Fees and in accordance with the tuition
plans. Registration, tuition, and other fees are non-refundable. Tuition paid in advance will not be refunded if PARENT
withdrawals child or in the event the child is expelled from said School. PARENTS understand that a late
fee of $50.00 per account will be charged if payment is not received in the office by the fifth of the month due. PARENTS
understand that $50.00 will be charged for returned check. If Parent has two return checks during a school year School reserves the right not to accept checks. Tuition
must be paid in full by the tenth of the month or the child will not be allowed back to class until the account is paid in
full.
STUDENTS whose accounts are not clear
will not be allowed to take semester exams, participate in graduation exercises, obtain transcripts, or obtain report cards.
In the event that PARENTS become delinquent in tuition payments, the student(s) named below will be subject to dismissal from
classes until PARENTS make arrangements satisfactory to the Board of Directors of the SCHOOL, to pay all past due amounts
and late fees. If arrangements are not made within a reasonable time or, if made, PARENTS do not comply with arrangements,
PARENTS will be will be considered in default and in addition to dismissal from classes for the student(s) named below, all
past due amounts and late fees will become immediately due and payable. In the
event of default, SCHOOL will institute collection proceedings against PARENTS and PARENTS will be subject to payment of reasonable
attorney’s fees, court costs, and all other associated costs with the collection of the amount due.
In the event that the student(s)
named below is expelled by SCHOOL, PARENTS are liable for payments of all charges incurred up to the date of expulsion. Additionally,
PARENTS will be responsible for reimbursement to SCHOOL of any discounts received for tuition payment. The earned academic
credits of the student who withdraw or are expelled will not be released to the PARENTS or other schools until all past due
amounts and late fees are paid in full.
PARENTS understand that the student(s) will be placed
according to the test results, academic history, and other generally accepted educational standards. PARENTS understand
the position, purpose, goal of the school, and pledge their wholehearted support of the spiritual and academic programs of
the school. PARENTS agree to support school rules, regulations, and policy of the classroom discipline including policies
outlined in the Parent/Student Handbook. PARENT agrees and gives permission to SCHOOL to administer corporal punishment
and drug screening as set forth in Parent/Student Handbook. PARENTS understand that the school reserves the right
to dismiss any student who does not respect its spiritual and educational standards or does not cooperate with the educational
process. Parents and students understand they must abide by the rules and regulations of said SCHOOL as set forth in the Parent/Student
Handbook.
PARENTS understand that student(s)
is/are not to arrive before 7:40 AM and that the school does not assume responsibility for students who arrive before this time. PARENTS
will pick up student(s) after school without delay or make arrangements for such. PARENTS will not hold the school liable
for any accidents that may occur during activities for which they have given permission, including accidents which may occur
while transporting students to and from such activities.
PARENTS agree to abide by, and be
responsible for, any decision made in medical emergencies or severe weather conditions, which PARENTS are not available, as
deemed necessary by SCHOOL personnel in charge.
The parties hereto acknowledge that
this contract of enrollment and the references incorporated herein constitute the full agreement between parties and that
the parties are bound by this contract for the above indicated school year. The undersigned parties agree and acknowledge
that they have read and considered the foregoing terms and that they fully understand and agree to said terms.
