Vicksburg Community School
Financial
Policy/Procedures 2008-09
The cost of educating
a student at Vicksburg Community
School is accomplished through tuition payments, major fund-raising events,
and donations. Tuition provides the main source of income for the school’s operation.
Vital to our
vision and mission as a Christian school is sound stewardship of the resources we receive from parents and benefactors. We
endeavor to allocate and manage every dollar in a way that assures the viability of our school while bringing the maximum
benefit to your child. Budgeting is the key to good stewardship.
The same expectation is held for the parents and guardians of the children we are charged to educate.
Obligations:
- Tuition, fees, and assessments are a contracted financial obligation by parents/guardians
upon registration of their student. A tuition payment agreement, with appendices, must be signed by the parent/guardian
and/or any other responsible financial party.
- It is responsibility of the financial party to see that tuition payments are made on time.
- All financial obligations must be paid in full by May 5th, which is before exam
week.
- The school reserves the right and will withhold tests, grades, transcripts, and diplomas
until all financial, academic, and disciplinary obligations have been met.
- Tuition accounts must be current in order to take exams.
- Limited financial assistance is offered to families in need. Applications are available
upon request from the VCS Advisory Board, beginning April 1st and must be submitted no later than
May 1st.

than two returned payments are received, then, only cash, cashier checks, or money orders will be accepted from that person
for remaining payments.
